In February 2004 YERKIR USA signed an agreement with benefactor Alain Krakirian , a resident of Glendale , California , USA . According to the agreement, Alain sponsored the furnishing of the Kindergarten, as well as the partial remodeling and installation of a central heating system in the Dance & Music School , in the village of Chinari , a remote border village of the Davoush Region of Armenia .
YERKIR UNGO (Union of Non-Governmental Organizations) began implementation of its Chinari Kindergarten-Dance & Music School Project in March 2004 and completed it by August 2004. The grand opening of the Chinari kindergarten and Dance & Music School took place on October 20, 2004 . That festive day marked a new beginning for the remote and mostly forgotten village of Chinari .
Thanks to this project, the children of Chinari now enjoy the benefits of a clean, heated and well furnished kindergarten and the young dance and music students of the village have their own refuge, one they can be proud of.
YERKIR USA is convinced that through such patriotic acts, benefactors such as Alain Krakirian do not just improve the lives of the residents of a border village such as Chinari, but they reinforce yet another border fortress, creating a more secure Armenia .
