YERKIR UNGO's (Union of Non Governmental Organizations) village of Haykavan general development plan includes the construction of a new Clinic-Community Center Complex, as undertaken by the YERKIR USA chapter.
In November 2004, YERKIR USA signed an agreement with US Army Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Asdghig Dadrian and her husband, Dr. William So, who sponsored the new Clinic-Community Center Complex in the village of Haykavan in the Hadrout Region of the Mountainous Karabagh Republic .
The new Clinic-Community Center complex is designed to have the following sub-divisions, as indicated in above shown plan.
A. The Clinic building is comprised of the following areas:
1. Reception and general area, where visitors and patients are received, processed and sent to the proper room, where also the pharmacy medications are furnished.
2. Examination room, where patients are examined by the resident nurse as well as the visiting doctors.
3. Pharmacy where the medicines are prepared and stored.
4. Patient room with two beds and a dedicated bathroom with shower drain.
B. The Community Center building is comprised of the following areas:
1. The Community Center reception area where visitors are greeted and escorted to the appropriate room or office in the center.
2. Community Affair's office.
3. Community leader's office.
4. Community youth hall which also serves as the town hall, for general meetings and as the community recreation room. This hall is accessible from the outside or from the common area between the clinic and the community center.
C. The Common Area:
From this area, one is directed to:
1. The Community Center.
2. The recreation room.
3. The Clinic.
4. The bathrooms and the storage room intended to serve the entire complex.
D. Furniture:
The entire complex with its two wings will be fully furnished, including office desks and chairs, other necessary tables, bookcases, patient beds, etc.
The entire building will be designed and built to accommodate the physically challenged.
The construction of the new Clinic-Community Center in Haykavan is set to begin in March 2004 and end by August 10, 2004. The opening ceremony of the complex is scheduled to take place during the second half of August 2004.
