Republic of Armenia Village of Pokr Masrik Clinic Project

Pokr Masrik today

Pokr Masrik Clinic Construction Project

The need for an ambulatory clinic in Pokr Masrik is dictated by the following :

  1. The village is located on a main road that connects it to the nearby border villages of Tretuk, Kutakan and Kakhkan. Thus, in an emergency, these communitites would be served better and faster from Pokr Masrik than they would be from Vartenis.
  2. The village itself does not have a clinic. Presently, its residents rely on Vartenis for their medical needs.
  3. The great majority of the residents are refugees who have fled Azerbaijan .

YERKIR UNGO's Pokr Masrik Clinic Project includes the following characteristics:

1. A reception area.

2. A pharmacy.

3. An Exam Room

4. 3 patient rooms with a total of 6 patient beds.

5. A delivery Room.

6. One general use bathroom.

7. Two patient use bathrooms, one on either end of the building.

8. A Mechanical Room to house the central heating equipment.

9. A Central Heating system for the entire building.

10. All required furniture, including reception desk, chairs, benches and patient beds.

11. Medical supplies and equipment are excluded from the project, as they will be obtained by alternative means once the building sponsor is secured.

The Armenian American Medical Society of California has sponsored the construction of the new clinic of Pokr Masrik.
Yerkir USA hails the Medical Society for their exemplary act.
